Our Mission

We are committed to helping businesses manage their own production more sustainably, with fewer losses and greater control over their product by implementing advanced AI technologies in their factory system.

Our Story

FRONTROL Systems was founded in 2004 in Brazil with the prime focus on controlling complex plant processes in the agro-industry. However, the company's first fuzzy controller implementation took place way before that time; in 1998 in a corn starch plant. Since then, FRONTROL has installed several advanced control systems across Brazil and worldwide.

In 2010, with the arrival of new partners, the actual software known today by Frontrol System started to be designed. It was then installed in more than 150 control loops, from soy, corn, sugar, and ethanol manufactuers.

The company then began expanding its activities to achieve a prominent position in the industrial automation market, supplying products and services of high quality and efficiency on an international scale.

Dr. Edilberto Teixeira, founder & president of FRONTROL Systems, is a successful entrepreneur, business owner, researcher, lecturer, and professor. He currently lectures at the University of Uberaba (UNIUBE) where he teaches undergraduate and graduate subjects in Advanced and Intelligent Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, System Automation, and Chemical Engineering.

Edilberto Teixeira graduated in Electrical Engineering and got his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Power Systems in 1974 from the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI). Then later, he earned his Ph.D. in Industry Automation and Control from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in 1991.

Some of his outstanding work includes more than 50 published papers; several presentations in Brazil, USA, Scotland, and Italy; an extensive research on Neural Network Applications to Control Systems (Case Western Reserve University 1989);  the development of an Electrical Power System Analysis of an Industrial Electrical Network in Brown Boveri, Switzerland (1974); and more.

In addition, throughout his life, Edilberto Teixeira has worked as an engineer in the areas of Electrical Power System Analysis, Power System Protection, and  Automation and Control for companies such as Triel, Eletronorte, Cosipa, and Cargill.

However, it was in 2004 that he founded Sistemas Inteligentes de Controle Ltda (APsiC), which is now known by FRONTROL Systems, and began applying advanced control techniques to several industrial plants across Brazil, China, and the USA.
